(01)  Mooresville, North Carolina

Built for Mooresville ground.

Mooresville gives us the most room to work with. Lots run bigger here than they do further south, and the lakefront properties in particular come with real grade — enough that reclaiming a yard is a structural project, not a decorative one.

Our three-tier lakefront wall on the Mooresville shoreline is the clearest example of what that looks like: a bank that was losing ground to the water every season, rebuilt as planted terraces with a level lawn above it.

What Mooresville projects usually involve

Grade worth engineering. Where a wall carries real load — a driveway above it, a slope above that — we build reinforced segmented walls using Geo-Grid rather than relying on mass alone. Taller walls commonly need engineered drawings and permitting; we will tell you when yours is in that territory.

Drainage behind every course. On a big wall, water is the enemy. Clean stone behind the block, a perforated pipe at the base, and somewhere for that water to go. This is the part nobody sees and the part that decides whether a wall is still straight in fifteen years.

Room to do it properly. Larger lots mean we can stage material, get machines in, and terrace across a slope instead of fighting it with one tall wall. That usually produces a better result for a sensible cost.

(03)  What we build in Mooresville

The full outdoor room, one contractor.

Every project runs concept to construction under our own project managers, so there is one company holding the design, the build and the warranty.

(05)  Mooresville questions

Asked often.

How tall can a retaining wall be before it needs engineering? +
It depends on height, slope and what sits above the wall. Taller walls and walls carrying load commonly require engineered drawings and a permit. We assess it at the site visit and tell you plainly which side of the line your project falls on.
What is Geo-Grid and do I need it? +
Geo-Grid is reinforcement laid back into the soil in layers as the wall goes up, tying the wall and the ground behind it into one mass. It is used where height or load means a gravity wall alone will not do the job.
Can you rebuild a failing wall rather than replace it? +
Sometimes, but be careful of false economy. If a wall is leaning because it was built without drainage or reinforcement, patching the face does not fix the cause. We will give you an honest read on which one you are looking at.
